Certificate of Excellence recipients include accommodations, restaurants and attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a quality customer experience.

Update December 2017

Improvements continue as we ensure that guest satisfaction remains a high priority while we fulfill our mandate to offer a superb product.
Our annual refurbishing of the Beachside Villas and Room blocks was completed in early November, with the third two/three bedroom villa building upgraded along with the one bedroom villa in the last villa building.  The works included upgrading the balcony doors and windows to new PVC weather resistant sliding glass doors and windows with screens.  Villa master bathrooms were equipped with new vessel basins along with new cabinetry, new showers with rain shower heads, new sliding glass shower doors, wall tiling and accessories.  Villa bedrooms have new closet doors with mirrors; villa verandahs were retiled and extended to create a larger deck for the newly refurbished private whirlpool spas. Superior rooms above the villas were also refurbished.  Balcony and staircase railings have already been replaced with new aluminum epoxy coated rustproof railings, and a number of new energy efficient Inverter type air condition units have also been installed.  Villas and rooms are attractively decorated with new drapes and soft furnishings in theme colors to match the room names.  A photograph of the fruit and fruit tree from which the room is named, along with a write up on the fruit, are now being put on one of the walls in the rooms.

We also upgraded and expanded the female changing room in our staff facilities by providing new showers, toilets and basins along with new lockers, hanging closets, doors and windows.  New ceiling fans and fixtures were also added and the area completely repainted.  The staff are most appreciative of this upgrading and gave the Managing Director a thank you card.

Over the last four years, seven of the eight beachside villa buildings have been upgraded and refurbished.  The last one should be completed in 2018.

Rondel Village Achieves Prestigious Travelife Gold Certification

Rondel Village Hotel has achieved the internationally recommended Travelife for Hotels & Accommodations Gold Certification on August 3, 2016

Travelife, the sustainable tourism certification system, has assessed the Rondel Village’s performance in responsibly managing its socio –economic and environmental impacts.

To gain a Travelife Gold certification the Rondel Village is assessed against 163 sustainability criteria and after two years, this will be reviewed. The assessment criteria includes environmental issues, such as minimising the amount of energy, waste and water. The social criteria recognizes positive actions for employee welfare, working with the local community and businesses, child protection and human rights. They must also show how they are protecting local traditions and wildlife.

Rondel Village was presented with the “Powering Global Travel Award for 2015″ by tour operator GTA in May. ” GTA proudly presents this award in recognition and appreciation of our excellent partnership and your contribution to powering global travel”.

Rondel Village 30th Anniversary Celebrations

We celebrated our 30th Anniversary on November 14, 2015 with a party and Awards presentation. The focus of our activities was our most important assets – our guests and our staff. We recognized all staff members but in particular those who have been with us for 10 or more years. We also acknowledged our repeat guests especially those who have been visiting consistently for the last 10 years, along with other guests who have stayed with us for close to 20 or more years.

We thank our repeat guests for making the time to spend this special occasion with us. As well we must thank you for the confidence that you have shown by consistently choosing Rondel Village for your vacation home.  We look forward to seeing you again soon.

An extra special thank you to all our staff who worked so hard to make this event successful.  We also thank all our guests, family and friends who came to share our 30th anniversary with us.  It was a pleasure hosting you.

Mrs. Joyce Wright – Rondel Village Chairman of the Board was just presented with the Jamaica Hotel and Tourism Association Lifetime Achievement Award for 2015!

The award was presented at The Jamaica Hotel and Tourism Association’s 54th Anniversary Awards Luncheon on Saturday June 6, 2015 at the Hilton Rose Hall Hotel & Spa.

Joyce has given a lifetime of service to the hospitality industry and tourism in general. She has been the driving force behind Rondel Village and although now retired, continues to play an active role in the decision making and operations.

“I am grateful for this award and wish to thank our entire team at Rondel Village for their consistent dedication to hard work and the success of the hotel. It is an honour to have been selected for this prestigious award and do appreciate the Jamaica Hotel and Tourism Association for their recognition of my services.”

Hospitality Jamaica Best Small/Boutique Hotel Award

Rondel Village just received the Hospitality Jamaica Award for Best Small/Boutique Hotel. The hotel was recognised nationally for their outstanding contribution to the Tourism sector. The award was presented at The Gleaner’s Hospitality Jamaica 10th Anniversary Awards Banquet on Saturday October 25, 2014 at the Montego Bay Convention Centre.

Improvements at Rondel Village, Negril

Improvements continue to be implemented in keeping with our mandate to offer a superb product to our guests.

  • Rondel Village just received the Booking.com Award of Excellence for 2014
  • On October 25 last year the hotel received the Hospitality Jamaica Award for Best Small/Boutique Hotel
  • Rondel Village was named number 8 of the 650 Best Reviewed Hotels on The Expedia Insiders’ Select® 2014 List. This list recognizes the hotels around the world that have worked to provide outstanding value and customer service, as well as regularly exceed guest expectations.
  • The hotel now also boasts the prestigious Travelife Award for Sustainability in Tourism
  • Rondel Village has its own greenhouse which supplies our restaurant with fresh vegetables and herbs.
  • Upgrading of the two one bedroom villa buildings was done in 2014,  villa balcony doors were changed to new PVC weather resistant sliding glass doors. All windows were also upgraded to sliding glass with screens. The verandah was extended to the Jacuzzi and both now have new porcelain tiles.  The master bathrooms have new vessel basins with rain shower heads.  The superior rooms upstairs these villas were also upgrading in keeping with our standard.
  • The two beachfront buildings just underwent extensive upgrading and refurbishing. The beachfront one bedroom villa balcony doors were changed to new PVC weather resistant sliding glass doors. All windows were also upgraded to sliding glass with screens. The verandah was extended around to the Jacuzzi and both now have new porcelain tiles. New drapes and soft furnishings are in both the living room and bedroom. The master bathroom has a new vessel basin along with new cabinetry, new bath with rain shower head and bathroom wall tiles. Many of the fixtures in the villas were also upgraded.
  • Both beachfront rooms were completely upgraded, the entire room, bathroom and balcony were retiled, the balcony and staircase railings were replaced with new aluminium epoxy coated rustproof railings, bathrooms are brand new and now have a rain shower head. The windows and balcony door were also changed to new PVC weather resistant sliding glass with screens. The rooms are very attractively furnished with new interior soft furnishings.
  • December 2012 saw the completion of a major expansion on the landward side of the property with the addition of 16 garden rooms and a new spa. The landward side now offers four three story buildings with six rooms in each building for a total of 24 new garden rooms
  • The project also included the conversion of the existing front building into a new state of the art luxury spa offering massages, facial and body treatments, salon for hair and nails, sauna and plunge pool
  • The pool deck size was increased to accommodate the new rooms and a pool shower with rain shower head was added
  • All garden rooms have either one king size bed or two double beds, flat screen television, hair dryer, standing mini refrigerator, iron and ironing board.
  • Inverter energy efficient air conditioners, solar water heaters and other energy saving items are used throughout the property.
  • Previously the restaurant kitchen was modernized and expanded, new kitchen equipments were installed and new storage facilities added. The expansion included the addition of guest restrooms and changing rooms, as well as staff facilities.
  • Rondel restaurant is now operated by the hotel and offers excellent meals and service.
