Jaybird's is named after Rondel Village's late Co-founder, Joyce Wright. Mrs. Wright was the matriarch of the family owned business and was very much involved in the everyday life of the hotel. She lived on the property in a beach side apartment so that she could remain close to the guests, the staff and the vision of Rondel Village. Mrs. Wright loved to cook and it was one of her favourite things to do.
